Alzheimer's disease is more commonly known today and is one of the biggest causes of dementia. The disease attacks the brain where tangles start to appear in the the structure of the brain which causes brain cells to die. Slowly more and more brain cells start to die which effects the messages sent to the brain, the person becomes slower with their actions and eventually deteriorates. Symptoms become more servere as the disease progresses. Patients will need care as disease progesses and are unable to do the things they once used to be able to do such as bathing, showering etc.

Arthritus

Arthritus can come on at any age but it mostly affects people of the age of fifty-five years and above. There are many different forms of arthritus which include Rheumatoid arthritis which affects the immune system telling the body that theres a threat when theres not. The immune system attacks the joints and sometimes other parts of the body causing painful joints and inflammation. Osteoarthritis is another form of arthritus which is very common and mostly in women, where the cartilage in joints becomes rough, brittle and weak causing pain and patients not being able to walk or use their hands. There are many other forms of Arthritus.

Diabetes mellitus is a common condition in which the amount of sugar or glucose in the blood is too high because the body cannot use it properly.
